-The Albertine Initiative-

-The Albertine Initiative-

Thank you for participating in my project. I have asked you to write down something you want to receive from this world. I asked you to write it on you hand because now your idea and your hand are one. I ask you now to use both, use both to create an action, put your idea in motion. The thing you want from this world will not be given to you but you will create it, you will be the change.

Why Is the World So Evil?

Why is the world so evil? Well the answer  is simple, because God loves us. In previous post I've read of people who have blamed God for all our problems, which is understandable for if he really is all powerful then he could simply take all of our pains away and we would live in peace with our brothers and play harps all day. But of course what a ridiculous proposition this is, and in fact was the vary same proposal that Lucifer(satan) presented in heaven, before the world was. He suggested that he would make us be good and we would live with no crime or hurt, which is what all of you are asking for is it not? But also we would live with no happiness for if we know not of bad we no nothing of good. But God, being the wonderful father he is, would never let us suffer such a life. Then Jesus suggested his plan allowing us to come down to earth and have the freedom to chose between good and evil, and all for those who would fall into temptation, Christ would suffer the consequences. God, being the loving God that he is, allowed Jesus to come to earth. "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son."  Because God loved us we are now here, free to choose. We are held accountable for what good and for what evil we do in this life. If you look at every natural thing in this world it is filled with beauty and grace, testifying of the goodness of God. The world is filled with evil and pain because we fill is with such, with the lustful desires of our hearts, we with our jealous grip tear what once was good in people, their innocence, their perfect ability to love. An infants eyes hold no pain, no fear nor hatred only curiosity, longing and love. God should never be accountable for the wars and contentions of this world, and if it were not for him and his son's redeeming sacrifice none of it would be bearable.

"Then sings my soul my savior God to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art."

Virginias Last Words to Her Husband

Dear Leonard,
To look life in the face, always to look life in the face and to know it for what it is at last to know it, to love for what it is, and then to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years, always the love, always the hours.
Your loving wife, Virginia

Note: this is (unfortunately) fiction. These are the final words of the movie The Hours, a movie based on the life of Virgina Woolf and her novel Mrs. Dalloway. This is to be the letter that Virgina wrote to her husband Leonard before she went and drowned herself in a river. The letter existed and closely related to this one. I just really like this one.
Lets talk about moments. The moments in time were all the pieces of the puzzle somehow fall into place, where you wish nothing would change, where right would be the only word used to describe it. These moments are moments of being. In these flashes of life, you become perfectly happy, your thoughts of distress somehow all seem to have been misplaced. There is no beginning nor end to happiness, only the moments where happiness exceeds all other matters. If you ever find yourself realizing you are in one of these moments try and think, think as hard as you can as to what is making you so happy whether it be the people you are with, the place you find yourself or the feelings that wrap your heart with warmth. Think of these thing and focus on them, block out any other distraction. Then look to the sky what ever may be up there, whether you believe in it or not, you will be able to see how simple it is to be happy. We will not be happy everyday of our lives but if we find the feeling of joy only once in our lifetime we will be able to recall on that memory and feel its warmth when ever we find ourselves in need of comfort. Nothing last forever but the earth and sky but perhaps joy has a chance to last even longer, if we let it.
